    Overview

     

    Purpose: DentalOne Partners (DPI) has an immediate opening for a seasoned finance/accounting professional to join our team as Partnership Accounting and Reporting Manager  This position supports the growing number of partnerships that DPI has with talented clinicians who have demonstrated superior performance in building thriving dental practices.  As a key member of the DPI finance staff, this individual will assist in month close procedures, provide insight to the to detail who is capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, diverse organization entity financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and ensure accurate and timely reporting is delivered to the minority interest partners.   The position requires an experienced financial professional with strong interpersonal skills, well-developed organizational skills, and attention.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Prepare calculations and entries to assist with month close accounting processes
    • Lead the development and preparation of KPI’s, reporting, and metrics related to entity financial statements for partnerships, including P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Capital Account Summaries, and other financial reporting
    • Calculate appropriate administrative fees to collect from supported practices based upon contractual Management Services Agreements
    • Determine appropriate minority interest distributions on quarterly basis
    • Prepare accurate and presentation-ready reports and financial statements for partners
    • Interface with doctors and doctor partners as a resource for understanding their financial statements, capital accounts, and income distributions
    • Establish valuations for minority interest partnership buy-backs on a periodic basis, setting up payment schedules and working with Accounting & Tax to appropriately record and report transactions
    • Support the tax preparation process for joint venture entities and distribution of K-1 income statements to partners
    • Responsible for other recurring or ad hoc analysis as required and/or requested by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Controller, Operations, or the Finance Team.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting
    • MBA and/or CPA preferred
    • 8+ years of work experience in financial roles
    • Good working knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles and practices
    • Previous experience working with partnership accounting and financial reporting strongly preferred

     

    Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (at all levels of management)
    • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across the organization to build credibility with various internal customers
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Proven track record of managing schedules and meeting deadlines on multiple concurrent projects
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and high degree of initiative
    • Ability to create structure and definition in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous
    • Ability to adapt quickly to change and will champion the advancement of financial planning tools, systems, and controls that enhance management decision making
