    Purpose: The role of the Senior Accountant is to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and solid skills to close, analyze and report the financial results for the month and YTD on a timely basis. This position implements changes to the financial systems and processes as required, while ensuring that financial reporting is accurate and fairly presents the financial condition of the Company. Other responsibilities include standard financial analytics, financial support and educational support of the associated practices, balance sheet account reconciliation, audit support and other duties as assigned.


    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for timely and accurate month-end processes and reporting consistent with GAAP.
    • Provides educational support and customer service to affiliated practices.
    • Coordinates the recording of all Corporate accounting transactions and accurate preparation of the headquarters monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with established Company policies and procedures
    • Monitor and maintain internal controls which properly safeguard Company assets
    • Reconciles all assigned balance sheet accounts
    • Responsible for maintenance of custom financial statements
    • Preparation of calculation for select incentive compensation plans
    • Assist in completion of the year-end audit.
    • Make recommendations to improve accounting processes
    • Other reporting and analysis as required
    • Projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller or Chief Financial Officer


    Specific Key Results Area (Each senior will have at least one of these result areas)

    • Month-end management reporting (CFO and Cash flow reports)
    • Partnership Accounting and Reporting for PC’s and LLC’s
    • General Ledger Management
    • Process and analysis of Capital Expenditures and Fixed Assets.
    • Make recommendations to improve processes for the Specific Key areas




    Special Requirements:

    • Clear ability to maintain and modify the General Ledger System as required.
    • Proven record of timely and accurate closing of the monthly books
    • Proven record of complete and accurate reporting
    • Strong Communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
    • Knowledge of GAAP
    • Knowledge of financial systems especially Great Plains, FRX
    • Detail oriented
    • Understanding of the IT systems to generate timely and accurate reporting.
    • Familiar with Partnership Accounting
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word processing software, Excel spreadsheet software, and financial reporting software and ERP systems.



    • Bachelor’s Degree required, CPA preferred
    • 3 – 5 years General Accounting experience, preferably in a multi-unit, multi-state environment
    • Supervisory experience
    • Detail oriented
