Overview

The Practice Development Project Manager provides project management and facilities management support for the company’s affiliated practices across the country.  This role manages repair and maintenance of all existing practices – including helping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as works with the Senior Construction Project Manager to manage new, remodel, relocation and other miscellaneous construction projects.  This position is cross functional, working directly with dental practices, field leadership, and multiple departments within the organization as well as with external suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Intake and execute facilities and construction related tasks – constantly measuring performance, cost, value, and cycle times
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and programs of varying scopes and sizes
  • Mitigate and minimize risk and practice downtime, keep practices functioning at desired levels
  • Manage assigned budgets from inception to completion while bringing new ideas for cost reduction
  • Supplier and vendor management, scorecard, payment reconciliation and scheduling
  • Thorough and accurate documentation and reporting
  • Other related duties as assigned and as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience working in a multi-site industry with the core competency being construction management
  • Experience in successfully managing multimillion dollar budgets and meeting critical deadlines
  • Must be highly motivated, have effective people skills, with the ability to work hard unsupervised and without constant direction
  • 3+ years’ experience in construction management

  • Ability to interpret construction documents, architectural and engineering reports, specifications and other common construction industry related documents

  • Upholds and demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Some business travel required to current and future dental practices and other meeting locations
